GROUPS OF PEOPLE GATHERING

It is apparent that groups of people are congregating in certain areas of the village and in some cases are travelling from other areas. Please ring 101 straight away if you see this happening. It is in all our interests that this is stopped. The police are dealing with this issue very seriously and will despatch officers.

FISHING AT LAKE BURWAIN

All fishing at Lake Burwain has been stopped. This is a members only angling club and all members have been told, no fishing until further notice.
There are reports coming in stating that some anglers are ignoring this.

**** If any of you see anyone fishing there, could you please ring 101 and report to police, at request of Burnley and Colne angling club. Thank you ****

It is looking likely that these people are poachers, not legitimate anglers.

FOR THE CHILDREN

To all you children out there who may be off school and bored. Just a thought. Would any of you like to send a little message or a picture to cheer up all our old and vulnerable people who are in isolation. Lots are not on line but some are and I think it would cheer them up, especially the ones who cannot see family on mothers day. Come on children, show you care.
