Road still closed between Broughton and Skipton. Please be careful travelling back roads as it is very busy.

This appears to be insulation which has been stripped off a hot water cylinder, it was strewn on canal tow path. I have cleared up as far as County Brook Bridge but apparently there's a lot more at Salterforth end. After asking round someone saw a man around 9am or just before pushing a shopping trolly down Warehouse Lane in which appeared to be a hot water cylinder and he was picking bits off it. Trying to find cctv footage. Has anyone had this taken from their premises. If that's the case it may be theft. But in any case it is littering. Further information he was seen coming up Warehouse Lane on a bike with this cylinder. ... See MoreSee Less

I have been round and clean some dog poo up, not sure if it was the same as reported. Dog owners be warned, you are being watched and will be reported if seen and identified

WARNING
If you do not clean up after your dog and you can be identified you can be prosecuted. No excuse to say you haven't got any bags with you. Foulridge parish council and Barka lounge doggy day care supply dog bags from three dispensers in the village too.

If there are any dog poo hotspot, I can ask that District Enforcement there - just let me know! Also, have you spoken to Adele at Trawden Parish Council? They have been highlighting the issue by spraying all dog poo orange! 🤦🏼‍♀️

I walked my dog up round the allotments for the first time in weeks yesterday and it was disgusting- there was dog poo everywhere that owners hadn’t picked up- i struggled to manouvre my dog on his lead around it all up the path-is it reasonable to assume that the majority of dogs walked up there are those belonging to Foulridge residents?

Absolutely right - I notice the dog bin up by the cricket club is almost full - not sure if the parish council is responsible for organising it to be emptied or the borough council?

Dog poo in play area near the bin nearest Archery.. Shouldn’t be in play area but can’t believe people dont even pick it up !

Another nasty habit people have is leaving filled plastic dog bags all over the place instead of disposing them into the bins!

LAMBING SEASON, KEEP DOGS ON LEADS AND AWAY FROM SHEEP

Please be responsible and keep your dogs under control. Most of the ewes will be in lamb now and likely to abort if distressed by dogs. It's no good saying my dog only wants to play. The sheep don't know that.

Just thinking that. How we gunna get out 🤔

So that’s all roads in Foulridge affected 🤔😬

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a collision in Foulridge.

The collision happened at about 8.40am today (Friday, Jan 17th) on Skipton Road at the school crossing outside St Michael and All Angels School.

An 80-year-old male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and suffered serious leg injuries.

No children were injured in the collision and officers from the Tactical Operations Unit are working closely with the School to support children and parents.

The road was closed for three hours whilst Collision Investigators conducted examinations of the scene but is now fully open.

Sgt Adam Dawson is appealing for any witnesses to get in contact with the investigation team via "101" or the Lancashire Police Website quoting log 0258 of today (Jan 17th 2020)

RESURFACING WAREHOUSE LANE
Spoken with contractors this morning. This work will be completed Thursday evening starting 5pm and hope to finish by about 8pm.
If it's any consolation the sewage works upgrade is due for completion in next couple of months, so with that and new build finished down there, there should be much less disruption.

Patching along Skipton Road near four elephants.

Most of the patches do look ok in my humble opinion. One small patch just looks as though tarmac thrown in and trodden on. The trouble is the road surface is breaking up all over, so even if these patches last, the road in between likely will not. The answer is to resurface the whole road through Foulridge.

It didn't need patching , it needs resurfacing, wasted money, it won't last till summer!

It’s horrendous low quality bit of work 😡

A good frost will lift that, I agree it want resurfacing but what about re opening the rail Link from Colne to Skipton surely that takes priority LOL

How long do you think it will last? Is it down for a proper job?

Well don’t that another what 6-12 months warranty before it all needs doing again

It wont last til Feb!

Wasted tax payers money 😡 all our tax has gone on the HS2

You voted Tory that's what you get 10 year in charge

The amount of traffic on that road is unbelievable (none) it’s a main road that’s been neglected for 35 years, patched on patches it’s a wonder no sink holes have appeared. Third worlders. You lot need to pay more taxes or leave the EU.

LOOKS PROMISING
no waiting cones each side of High Lane. Probably for traffic lights to go up tomorrow morning. Not sure if it is YW for manholes or LCC for potholes.
